Autoresponder service - a question from “Online Profits” subscriber

Question:

I been thinking of dropping u an email since the day u when vacation in Langkawi. The reason why is because i starting to launched my website (a bakery website to be exact ) this coming 21th , and will also doing our first online biz on my niche .

Long cut short, about autoresponder. I when thru some of the internet marketer website (even from U) and most of them using aweber and autorespondplus. Obviously as a internet marketer this tool can also give the refferal some commission under it affiliate program plus if i not mistaken it it also best tool to penetrade mail into sending to JUnk folder. Am I correct so far?. However the price are too costly especially for newbie like me that still not making any US dollar income.

Question is what is the Con of using the autoresponder provided by the hosting company? (i’m thinking for the start using hive.com.my hosting since that the host that I can afford for time being).

if you want to use email as a medium to promote your product (which I highly recommend) then get a good autoresponder such as aweber or getresponse. AutoresponsePlus requires your to host the script on your server, so you need to know some technical knowledge about installing and maintaining it. If you asked me, I highly recommend autoresponder services such as aweber and getresponse because they know best about other issues like email deliverability, upgrade and such. If you think that this autoresponder service is costly, think about how much it costs you not to have it as your marketing arsenal. BTW, if you are really on a tight budget, go to freeautobot.com and use this free service.

About your question on using autoresponder provided by the webhosting company, well, it depends… some companies like wwkiosk and thirdsphere give you sequential autoresponder (which you can use to program multiple mail messages in any given time intervals). Others will just give you a simple 1-message autoresponse service (someone sends you an email, and he/she ill receive sonly one email back).

I think either one of these autoresponders are ok.
In fact, it may still expensive but I recommend that you should use autoresponder as a way to get into contact with your customers.

Customers do not buy from you in 1st contact
You need to continuously add value and autoresponder is a great way.
