The basic mechanics behind it is that you collect the emails from your website visitors and email them your offer or anything related to your niche.

For example, if you are blogging or have a website about “breeding arowana fish”, you put a subscription box where your website visitors can leave their name and email in exchange for some kind of information that you offer. This information could be in the form of an e-course about arowana, an e-book or just simply a permission for you to send out more information on the website whenever you update it.

People who are interested about arowana will definitely like to be updated about anything related to this fish and they will allow you to send more emails to them. Of course, you want to also include a note saying that by filling up the webform that you put on your website, they allow you to send more emails in the future.

Then, when you get their names and emails, it becomes your goldmine.

It was based purely on article marketing on a very tight niche.

But, ever since, I’ve improved the little niche website and I’ll share a little something for you today.

First, that website is based on my family hobby, and related to pets.

Since we have these pets in the house, it is easier to get the info and tools that I need to build a website. We’ve been caring these pets for awhile now and I thought, why not make money out of this hobby.

After researching a product on the internet, I found out that selling ebooks as an affiliate from Clickbank would be perfect as ClickBank is a reliable company. Then, I began selling one ebook using article marketing. The results are as shown on Secret Article Profits website.

When I know that this niche has buying market, I approached the author of the ebook asking if he has articles that I can use to promote his ebook. I told him that I’ve made a few sales and he was more than happy to even give me his ebook for free and allow me to quote a few paragraphs from the ebook as a content to my website.

It gets even better because I’m also allowed to use these paragraphs (articles) in my autoresponder.

With a few articles in the autoresponder, my marketing strategy is almost automated.

What I do next is create a simple opt-in website so that web surfers can leave their names and emails on my website. These web surfers will then be followed up with the articles that I’ve programmed into my autoresponder.

Here’s where most of the pre-selling is done. The articles that are sent to the autoresponder subscribers will be reminded to visit my affiliate website at ClickBank, and when they make a purchase, I make the commission. It is as easy as that.

As you can see, I’ve done article marketing and I’m adding one more marketing campaign on the list. That’s when I take my videocam and shoot my pets.

Obviously as a internet marketer this tool can also give the refferal some commission under it affiliate program plus if i not mistaken it it also best tool to penetrade mail into sending to JUnk folder. Am I correct so far?. However the price are too costly especially for newbie like me that still not making any US dollar income.

Question is what is the Con of using the autoresponder provided by the hosting company? (i’m thinking for the start using hive.com.my hosting since that the host that I can afford for time being).

if you want to use email as a medium to promote your product (which I highly recommend) then get a good autoresponder such as aweber or getresponse. AutoresponsePlus requires your to host the script on your server, so you need to know some technical knowledge about installing and maintaining it. If you asked me, I highly recommend autoresponder services such as aweber and getresponse because they know best about other issues like email deliverability, upgrade and such. If you think that this autoresponder service is costly, think about how much it costs you not to have it as your marketing arsenal. BTW, if you are really on a tight budget, go to freeautobot.com and use this free service.

About your question on using autoresponder provided by the webhosting company, well, it depends… some companies like wwkiosk and thirdsphere give you sequential autoresponder (which you can use to program multiple mail messages in any given time intervals). Others will just give you a simple 1-message autoresponse service (someone sends you an email, and he/she ill receive sonly one email back).

There might be a few other autoresponder services which are better and have more features than GetResponse but I picked GetResponse due to a few features that I want.

Among the features that I looked for are “Import feature”, “Buy leads directly from GetResponse” and a few others that are similiar to Aweber or 1ShoppingCart.

Yeah, GetResponse might not be the best but the first two features I mentioned above are important to me because I’m involved in MLM and my upline is using GetResponse. So, it would be easier for me to use GetResponse to import his messages for my easy online marketing campaign.

Type a few words, press a few buttons and, voila, a set of messages for my marketing campaign is ready in my autoresponder account.

Buying leads directly from GetResponse is another plus for me because if done right, I can set aside some fund for buying leads from GetResponse.

I bought leads before but I didn’t know where they came from (although the lead brokers say leads are taken from a few sites such as here and there – but who to verify?). Sad to say that the results were not that good, previously.

But I figure out that GetResponse generate leads from their own ads and I could confidently know where they come from make me want to give it a try.

However, if you are new to buying leads to be imported into your autoresponder, I would suggest you to study some co-registration strategies before you go out and spend your money.
