If you were given 2 financial choices in life, which one will you pick? I’m also assuming that you are already making a living comfortably at work or in your business.

Here are your two important choices.

A. You get paid every day on a fix amount of dollar (say USD$100 per day) but you have to work every day to get that amount of money. You stop working and your income stops.

B. You work every day for two years with little to no income at all and sometimes you lose your money, but you are sure that by the end of the third year, you will get more than the person who works every day in the case of option A above. And the money keeps on multiplying regardless if you work in the fourth year and beyond.

Which one will you choose now?

I’m sure many people will choose option B. Who doesn’t want an income stream that will keep on multiplying regardless if you work or not? And, believe me that there is a few ways to do it.

But I also believe that some people will simply choose option A as they can’t bear the fact that it takes so much time, money and effort to achieve their financial dreams.

If you were to ask me, I would not abandon the idea of making a recurring income. At the same time, I would love to get paid every day for the work that I’m doing. It’s just not making sense to choose only option A and leaving option B on the table.

Of course, eventually you want a steady recurring income in your life – the one that will provide you cash regardless if you work or not. At that time, you have the luxury to choose to work or not and even if you choose to work, it is more because you like to do it – not for the money anymore.

Now, the idea of building a recurring income is not new and it is a very exciting concept after all. Let’s look at how Burke Hedges explains this great idea in his book “The Parable of The Pipeline” which tells a story of two cousins who bring back water from a river to their village using two methods.

The first cousin, Bruno, will bring a bucket to scoop the water and carry it back to the village. He’ll be paid for the water. Then, when the demand increases, he hires more people to get the water. Obviously, he gets paid more but he also has to pay the employees and the tools. His income will be limited by the number of employees and the tools he has.

The other cousin, Pablo, is quietly making a plan. He is building a pipeline to supply water from the river to the village. It takes time, money and effort to build the pipeline. As you can guess, he is not paid a single red cent for this effort. He can see his cousin making a fortune but he knows it will be to his advantage when his work is done.

Finally, his pipeline is complete. What the villagers need to do is turn on the tap and the water is supplied directly into the village cistern. You know what? Who’ll need to buy the water from the other guy anymore when the simple turn of a tap will provide water in their houses at a cheaper price than the other guy charges?

As for Pablo, his work is done and he’ll get paid for as long as his pipeline is working (while he is lazying around).

I’m not going to build a real water pipeline for sure but you can model this concept to create your own recurring income.

Here are a few suggestions:

1. Write a best-selling book for a royalty income. Then write some more books in your spare time. You can also write an ebook and sell it online.

2. Buy a property and rent it out. Then, buy a few more to double or triple your income.

3. Deposit your money in bank or invest in stocks. Compounding effect will double your money in 7 years for a yearly 10% interest of your savings. Stock appreciation will increase your money as well.

4. Create a product that requires a license from you. For example, a piece of software can be charged annually for the license. Big corporations are doing it but the small players are seeing this opportunity too.

5. Build a network marketing business. You and your team will build a group of distributors and the bigger your team is, the more money you will get. But, do not confuse network marketing with a get-rich-quick or pyramid scheme.

So, back to the original question, “if you were given 2 financial choices in life, which one will you pick?”

It came to me as no surprise because Mike Filsaime did come out with a report with almost similar title before.

But, I have to download it anyway because it is related to what I’m doing – which is online network marketing. Moreover, this report is free. Not to mention – when you give it away and people download it from your link, you’ll be given commission (same strategy as before – the one that I banked in over $1000 recently).

The sad part is that sometimes, I even recognize the names of some of the people who promote their opportunities and every time the spam was sent, there’s always new ‘so called’ opportunity.

I begin to wonder if these programs are really successful to them or they are just trying their luck to make even one ‘incidental’ sale. To make the matter worse, these people are promoting MLM related programs, which only adds negativity to this business model.

After studying many successful people in MLM, I know that it takes time for them to build a successful MLM business. It takes constant promotion of the same business opportunity over a long period of time – not in the “Join My New MLM” program.

That is why I doubt that the little marketers who are promoting multiple MLM programs at the same time are making any money at all.

Yes, it can be tempting to join the latest and “greatest” business opportunity on the planet earth.

The promise of “groundbreaking super profitable” commission structures and products can sometimes make you read their offer over and over again and you’d feel that you’d be in the loss if you don’t jump on board.

Beware. The truth is just the opposite.

If you jump on board over and over again in multiple business opportunities, chances are you’re losing more than gaining anything – except a pile of products that you’ll never use yourself.

So, what is the solution now?

Simple.

If you are already in any MLM program, give it your best and promote the program for a considerably long period of time. Just ignore any “join my new MLM program” temptation and evaluate if your current MLM program is worth your effort.

If you are not in any MLM program yet, choose carefully which opportunity is the best for you (not anyone else) and get into action in promoting it persistently. Inevitably, some of you might argue that you hate doing MLM but don’t mind getting the residual income and leverage.

My suggestion is start looking at the products that will benefit you, your health or your wealth. Then, study the compensation structures and other criteria of choosing the right MLM company for you.

You’d be surprised to see that many MLM companies have amazing products from personal development, webhosting, digital products to supplements, electrical appliances and many others.

Then, stick with the program until you’re successful.

By that time you become successful, your “new mlm program” will never be called “new opportunity” anymore. That’s when you realize that it’s not worth to keep on jumping from a company to another without putting your effort in making it successful.

The Success University World Tour

For the second time, I went to Singapore this year to meet some of the sharpest minds in Internet MLM and I’m glad I made my journey there this time.

The seminar started 15 before 8 in the evening and ended around 11.

Now, I think there were about 400 people in the room and majority of the attendees were from Singapore… and a few are from Malaysia (there were a couple of Danish and others). What this means is that the market for Malaysia is still huge and that’s one of the reasons why I had to meet the leaders in Singapore.

What is my comment about the seminar?

Awesome!

Johnny Wimbrey, Matt Morris and Tony Michael were simply amazing.

Here I learned the story of Johnny Wimbrey being raised in a battered women shelter, making a change in his life and committing to never let his children have the same memory of the same experience again.

Matt Morris also shared his story of being broke and finally made millions 6 times within 5 years. Not only that, Matt shared with us his 7 strategies to 7 figures too (the ones he used to change his life).

Tony Michael later made a few announcements that made more Success University excited to be part of the company (hint: The Right Place at The Right Time).

Then, we went for a late night supper at a restaurant (which I don’t know where it was because Jaz Lai was the one who took me there). You can see below some of the leaders in Singapore having fun in a casual way with those who never have to work in their lives anymore. Just imagine the aura of being around with successful people will challenge you to be a much more successful and better person.

We were enjoying drinks called “Godzilla”. Johnny loved the drink and he didn’t miss paratha bread too.

Hey, that’s what I read on a website… but do they know the truth? I doubt so.
