Do I Presell Like In “Preselling Secrets”?
I just bought an ebook “Preselling Secrets” by Jon Leger.
Before I go read it, I want to make something different.
I will write what I think I’ve been doing with preselling technique, then I’ll double check with what Jon mentioned in his report.
Here goes…
There’s a few strategies that I do to presell my potential buyers, and I’ll lump them together and see if it makes sense.
There’s many times… I write articles to my list and post on many other article directories. In this method, I just want to make sure that my readers click the link that I put on my resource box.
There shouldn’t be hard-sell in the articles that I publish on other people’s websites but I would go an extra mile and ask my readers to visit the website that I’m advertising in the body of my articles (you can’t do that on majority of article directories out there). So, there is a higher chance that I sell better to my list by email just because of this additional website link.
But then again, I would keep the article informational enough (like you’re reading now) so that the readers will benefit from me even if they don’t buy any product.
Sometimes you see me post videos on my blog.
These videos are recorded by me and I make it amateur because I want to inject personality into the message that I send to my subscribers and readers.
These videos are like the articles that I write. They contain information about specific subjects and when people hear and watch me, it becomes more convincing (rather than reading) because the readers can sense the sincerity and effort I put in the videos.
And as you know, the sense of sincerity is one of the factors to get the potential buyers to trust you… because it leads to trust… and trust leads to sales.
So, that’s a few strategies I practice in preselling.
I’ll update you more once I get to read Jon’s Preselling Secrets in a few more days and see if these strategies are mentioned in Jon’s report.

Zamri, You know I find social bookmarking links and blogs rank much faster than directory submissions and I’ve stopped submissions to directories altogether now.
You can drive traffic in minutes and provide good content to interested visitors via social media sites.

I agree with you that social bookmarking generates fast traffic.
I’m using articles as well for branding purposes and because I like writing myself. Moreover, I have a lifetime membership account at articlemarketer.com. So, I have to make full use of the service.

Social bookmarking is a good concept and may drive in trffic. But, will it push product offtake. Isn’t the majority of traffic looking for freebees?
