Webserver Hacked And Someone Is Now 5

This week has been both terrible and sweet to me…

1. My Success Blog Was Down ( :( )

First, my web server has been hacked and those hackers put java and iframe virus on many files that I had to temporarily put down my blog.

Now that you see that this blog is running fine – that is after hours of cleaning up the mess.

I’ve informed my subscribers about this incident and some asked me how should we do when this incident happens.

Well, I will have to say that hackers will always attempt to go into your system and mess around. There’s not much you can do (unless you operate your own webserver) except find out what’s happening and help out in any way you can. I believe your webhost has best interest in making sure that their system is running fine and protect it from hackers. But, when it happens… it happens.

At the point of this writing, I believe support from my webhost is still working and verifying that everything is fine. But, I had taken my proactive action and clean up any files that have been infected. Yes, that is a tedious job to make sure that all files are all right.

Now, I have to warn you… it will happen… it’s just a question of when it’s going to happen.

What I’d suggest you to do is always backup your data as frequent as possible. That way, if you run into situation like this, you will have back everything on your webserver.

2. My Son Turned 5 ( :) )

You can see a picture of me and my son on my main page (www.ZamriNanyan.com) and that picture is 2 years old – I think.

He was exactly 5 years old on 7 March 2007 and growing bigger and smarter every day. We love him so much and here is something for you to watch:

You can see my daughter, Syafiqah, in this video too… She is 8.

And mind our language and birthday song. If you’ve never heard my voice before, you can now. :)

Look who’s really blowing the candles. :)

Until next time…

Zamri Nanyan

ps. Treasure your life with those you really care… even when times are bad!
