I keep on forgeting about how to display Google Adwords results from other countries. So, I wanna make it in writing on my blog so that I can refer back later when I need it.

Here it goes…

Let’s say that you’re looking for a product, called Adwords Miracle and you type “Adwords Miracle” on Google.

See the Google Adwords ads on your right sidebar.

The address bar will look like:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=GGLG%2CGGLG%
3A2006-18%2CGGLG%3Aen&q=%22adwords+miracle%22

Then, add this code at the end of the URL in the address bar and press enter:

&gl=uk

See the Google Adwords ads on your right sidebar again.

Did you see the difference?

You are now viewing Google Adwords results from UK. The URL in the address bar should look like this:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=GGLG%2CGGLG%
3A2006-18%2CGGLG%3Aen&q=%22adwords+miracle%22&gl=uk

Try other countries like US, Australia and Europe - &gl=us, &gl=au and &gl=eu

Did you see the difference?

This excercise is not just for fun (although it can be) but I use it to check how many people are advertising using Google Adwords in any specific countries.

It is very important because you might be targetting your Adwords ads in other countries, but if you don’t know how your other competitors are doing, you might be running a blind Google Adwords ads campaign.

So, let’s share this info with others.

Hopefully, they’ll thank you for the info.

warmly,
